3rd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE RAFFLE TO BENEFIT PREVENTION OF BLINDNESS SOCIETY OF METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON
Win one of five decorated Behnke Nurseries Christmas trees
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Behnke Nurseries Company will be sponsoring the Potomac/Bethesda area Girl Scouts of Service Unit 33-3 as they decorate and raffle five Christmas trees to benefit the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB) and Girl Scouts Council of the Nation's Capital, Friday, December 4 - Friday, December 11 at Westfield Montgomery Mall.
More than 60 local Girl Scouts from five troops are creating decorations to adorn the five trees. The trees will be decorated and on display at Westfield Montgomery Mall near the Macy's Home Store beginning Friday, December 4 at 4:30 p.m. The Westfield Montgomery Mall will also be hosting a gingerbread-decorating workshop at this kick-off event.
Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Westfield Montgomery Mall concierge booth or Behnke Nurseries in Potomac, Md., beginning Friday, December 4. Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Each raffle ticket also includes a $5 coupon off any one cut Christmas tree from either Behnke Nurseries locations in Beltsville or Potomac, valid through December 24, 2009.
The five winning raffle tickets will be drawn on Friday, December 11. Winners need not be present to win. Unclaimed trees will be donated to a local charitable organization.
